Ruff Resort Dog Requirements

Spay/Neuter & Temperament Evaluation

Dogs over 6 months must be spayed/neutered

Must pass a free temperament evaluation for overnight stays and daycare.

Vaccinations

Proof of current vaccinations is mandatory:

  • Rabies
  • DHLPP (Distemper, Hepatitis, Leptospirosis, Para Influenza, Parvovirus)
  • Bordetella (updated every 6 months)

Identification

All dogs must wear a collar with an ID tag.

Collars and ID tags are available for purchase on-site if needed.

Food Requirements

Bring dog food in pre-measured containers or ziplock bags per feeding.

  • Example: 3 nights x 2 feedings per day = 6 bags (e.g., ½ cup per bag)
Include 1–2 extra feeding bags in case of travel delays.
Oral medications only (no injectables) with clear instructions.

Personal Items

Do not bring bedding or toys (to prevent loss or damage).

Health & Behavior

Dogs must be in good health and free from fleas or ticks.

Must be friendly with people and other dogs.

Must be on preventative flea/tick medication (no flea collars).

Select Dates and Services

Click here to our online portal to select the dates you need and services. There’s a variety of packages and add-ons you can choose from. Put in all your information and upload your pup’s vaccination records.

Evaluation

If you are new here, we will reach out to you for a 20-30 minute evaluation. We evaluate your dog’s behavior, body language, signals, and how well they read/interact with other dogs. Every step of the way, we let your dog tell us if they are comfortable – that’s our biggest focus.

Schedule a Complementary Daycare

If the evaluation goes well, your pup will be invited back another day for a complimentary full trial day, or, if we have space, they can stay for their trial day right then.
