Dog daycare at Ruff Resort is a dynamic and interactive experience designed to keep your pup happy and engaged. Our daycare dogs spend their days running, climbing, exploring play equipment, splashing in pools, wrestling with canine friends, taking relaxing naps, and enjoying plenty of affection from our attentive daycare staff. It’s a full day of fun, exercise, and love!
All dogs over 6 months of age must be spayed or neutered, and pass an initial temperament evaluation to stay with us overnight. The evaluation is free.
Your dog also must be up to date on their vaccinations (Proof of current vaccine records for Rabies, DHLPP (Distemper, Hepatitis, Leptospirosis, Para Influenza, Parvovirus), and Bordetella (kennel cough) is mandatory. The Bordetella vaccine needs to be updated every 6 months, which is standard in most boarding and/or daycare facilities.)

Daycare Evaluation Process
In order to play in doggie daycare, each dog must first be evaluated by one of our trained daycare team members for group play. Next, our team will evaluate your dog’s behavior as they enter the facility, interact with staff, respond to unfamiliar sounds, walk on a leash, and pass by other dogs. This initial assessment helps us understand your pet’s comfort level and set the stage for a successful introduction to our daycare environment.
The playgroup introduction begins with your dog meeting one of our experienced daycare dogs while on a leash. Our team closely monitors for signs of stress, aggression, or fear, observing your dog’s reaction to their new friend. If the interaction is positive, both dogs are gradually allowed off-leash to engage in the yard together.
From there, we slowly add more daycare dogs to the group, ensuring each introduction is smooth and stress-free. Eventually, your dog will meet the full daycare group, having been thoughtfully and carefully introduced to their new playmates.
Throughout the day, our daycare attendants keep a close eye on your dog to ensure they exhibit appropriate play behaviors and address any habits that may need adjustment for continued group play success.
We take great care to assign dogs to playgroups that suit them best, starting with size and then factoring in temperament and play style. This ensures every pup has a safe, fun, and positive experience at Ruff Resort!
